We're Going Fully Virtual: What Our Move to Telehealth Means for You

Big news from Rainbow Family Wellness: as of August 2026, we're going fully virtual. Every session — individual, family, and group — will now take place online through secure, HIPAA-compliant video. Here's what that means for you, and why we're so excited about it.
What's changing
Our Tarpon Springs office is closing, and all of our care is moving to telehealth. If you're a current client, your therapist will reach out about transitioning your sessions online — there's nothing you need to do right now. Going forward, you'll meet with us from wherever feels most comfortable and private: your living room, a parked car on a lunch break, or the kitchen table after the kids are asleep.
Why we're making this change
Telehealth removes so many of the barriers that keep people from getting the support they deserve. No commute. No waiting room. No scrambling to arrange childcare just to make an appointment. For many of the people we serve — LGBTQIA+ folks in less-affirming areas, parents juggling impossible schedules, people managing chronic illness or disability — virtual care isn't just convenient. It's what makes therapy possible at all.
What stays exactly the same
The heart of what we do doesn't change one bit. You'll see the same affirming, experienced therapists. We'll continue offering individual therapy, children and family therapy, and group therapy. We still accept the same insurance plans, still offer sliding-scale and reduced-cost options, and still bring the same trauma-informed, judgment-free care to every session. Research consistently shows that telehealth therapy is just as effective as in-person care — and many clients find it even easier to open up from a space that already feels safe.
Now serving all of Florida — and Virginia
Going virtual also means we can reach more people who need us. Rainbow Family Wellness is now able to see clients located anywhere in Florida or Virginia. If you've been hoping to work with an affirming therapist but couldn't find one nearby, we may be able to help — no matter where in those two states you are.
Questions? We're here.
If you have questions about the transition, how telehealth works, or getting started, we'd love to hear from you. Reach out any time, or schedule a free 15-minute consultation and we'll walk you through everything.
